Hygiene Supplies Will Make All the Difference for My Students!
Help me give my students basic health and wellness supplies such as antibacterial wipes for hands and surfaces, lens cleaner for eyeglasses, feminine hygiene products, and a class vacuum to keep our room tidy!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! I am a new teacher serving 9th grade SLIFE (students with limited or interrupted formal education) in inner city Trenton, New Jersey. My students have recently immigrated as unaccompanied minors from Central America. It is vitally important that I create an environment where my students feel at home - safe, genuinely cared for, and where their basic needs are met so they can focus on learning.
This is why my priority request through DonorsChoose is for basic cleaning and hygiene supplies so we can keep our classroom clean, and so that my young ladies have feminine products when they need it while they are at school.
My goal is to foster a classroom community that takes pride in our space by keeping our classroom organized and sanitized so that we get sick less and can be in school to learn! Thank you in advance for your support. Together we can make a difference!
