Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school consists of many students, many of which are newcomers to the country, who may not have the resources to get the hygiene products they need. These students come to a new country, new school and are working to become accustomed to their new life which can come with many challenges. By providing support from teachers who they can count on and making it a little easier to have access to hygiene products, it can help them as they transition into this new environment and can help them grow and feel confident in school.

Some students may struggle to get hygiene products, like deodorant or a simple brush, so providing resources like essential toiletries can help provide that additional support throughout their school experience!

Deodorant, lotion, hair ties and even a little bag to carry it all in can help student's hygiene and overall their self esteem and confidence. By providing essential toiletries, they do not have to worry about not being able to afford these items which can create stressful situations for students. Giving them ease of mind through these products also helps them focus on their school work and social-emotional well being!
