This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are launching an initiative to support our middle school newcomer students who are facing financial hardships and temporary housing situations. Many of these students, navigating the complexities of a new country and educational system, lack access to basic personal hygiene essentials. Our goal is to provide them with personal hygiene kits that include essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, and other necessities.

These kits are not just about meeting physical needs; they symbolize care, dignity, and a sense of belonging for these young individuals during a challenging phase in their lives.

By ensuring they have access to these fundamental hygiene products, we aim to alleviate some of the stress and discomfort they may experience due to their circumstances.
