This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-year teacher, I am eager to establish a basic needs pantry in my science class, featuring feminine pads, a first aid kit, hand sanitizer, tissues, and face masks. These items address various aspects of personal health and hygiene, ensuring a safe and comfortable learning environment for my students. A well-stocked first aid kit is essential for addressing minor injuries or medical emergencies during class activities, empowering students to take responsibility for their well-being through prompt care. Cleaning supplies are crucial for maintaining a safe and hygienic learning space, fostering a sense of responsibility among students in upholding cleanliness standards.

As I continue to build my classroom, the establishment of this basic needs pantry is fundamental in creating a supportive and inclusive environment that prioritizes student well-being and enhances the overall learning experience!
