My Students

My classroom is organized chaos. We are always having fun while we are learning! My classroom is filled with students that barely have the basic necessities, much less the materials they need for school.

Our school has a high poverty rate with most students receiving free or reduced priced lunches.

For many students in our area, school is where they experience many "firsts" or new things. Some students have never even traveled more than 30 minutes from home. It is amazing how they can accomplish so much with so little.

My Project

Many of my students don't get basic hygiene items that we take for granted. It is hard to focus on school work when you know that you may smell, or you just don't feel clean.

These items will provide my middle schoolers with much needed necessities.

Some of these items are for students entering puberty that may need it for "accidents" that can be truly embarrassing if you don't have what you need.

Other items can help with daily cleanliness like shampoo, toothpaste, face wash, deodorant, etc. These items will give my students the confidence they need to focus on school, so they can succeed.
