My Students

I currently have 30 students in my special education (SPED) classes. My students are SPED students and have a love for technology, reading, math and science. They are very excited about learning and I want to make the class interactive. Due to time and lack of reliable technology, we are limited.

My students don't have access to technology or additional resources at home.

Many of our students are foster care students that don't have any technology. The students in my classroom are a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds. I teach at a low-income school, in a classroom full of eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day!

My Project

Personal hygiene can affect a person's confidence. We have learned that some students lack personal hygiene skills and we are working to promote a healthy body. My students live in a nearby shelter and they need a closet of personal hygiene and cleaning products to use when they aren't in school.

This project is aimed at helping students with necessities that all students need to begin the day.

The goal of this project is to help replenish our comfort closet of necessary hygiene items needed on a daily basis.

This closet provides comfort and confidence to students.

As mid school year approaches, we'd like to replenish, so we can send home items with students over the summer.
