Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our health class, we prioritize making lessons interactive and engaging for students. Whenever we introduce a new topic, we like to incorporate activities that help bring the material to life. Currently, we are exploring the effects of hydration on the body. As part of this unit, we are conducting an activity that examines how varying amounts of water intake over a set period affect body weight, heart rate, and blood pressure. By tracking these physiological changes, students gain a deeper understanding of the important role hydration plays in maintaining health and overall well-being.

While many students already have insulated water containers, some do not.

To ensure that everyone can fully participate in the activity, we are requesting water containers in various sizes. Having different sizes available will allow us to tailor the activity to each student's needs and ensure that we can accurately track water intake and its effects. This will give students a more hands-on, personal experience as they explore how hydration affects their bodies.
