it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Teaching in a low-income inner city community for the past 17 years has been an amazing experience. My students are 3rd and 4th graders and have various degrees of special needs. They are sweet, eager to learn, and have a great spirit that keeps me on my toes. Teaching a special education self-contained classroom is challenging and exciting at the same time, even during this crazy time of hybrid learning. Many of the students do not have printers at home and struggle with using the computer to complete assignments online. Not to mention the fact that looking at a computer screen for hours at a time is not good for them.

My Project
School can be a very germy place to begin with, and this year is going to be very different. My classroom needs to be a place where students and parents know that they are working in a clean environment. Having the neccessary supplies is crucial for parents to keep their children healthy and coming to school. For those that have choosen fully remote or the ones in the hybrid model they need access to pencil and paper activities.
Having a these supplies readily available in the classroom along with a printer, will provide them with necessary actitivies to keep learning, even while at home and keep them safe while in the classroom.
The children want to keep learning and your generous donations can help that happen.
