Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a New York City public school teacher, challenges are thrown at the teachers as well as the students on a daily basis. In order to overcome those challenges, I need to make sure that the classroom is an organized environment. My students are all very different and have their own unique personalities that bring a lot to our classroom! All of the students have different needs and I have to make sure that all of their needs are being met. I am currently working in a 4th grade integrated co-teaching classroom. Each day is a new and exciting experience in my classroom.

My students always come into class with a smile and energy ready to learn and grow.

I teach them that anything is possible and to make sure they always do the best that they can do. Our students have high energy and they like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Each day is a new challenge that we all tackle together.

My Project

Starting off this school year things are looking quite different for all of us. It is a new beginning for the teachers as well as the students. 2020 has brought many new challenges. This year our school is doing hybrid learning. Some days the students are in class in-person and other days they are participating via zoom and using Google Classroom. To make things easier for both the students and myself using technology in the classroom is going to be important.

My students need instant feedback in order to better guide them in the classroom.

Having an iPad available for use will allow me to give the students using technology instant responses. The iPad will also be an additional piece of technology in our classroom to make learning easier.
