Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects, and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

We are so excited to get back to in-person teaching. However, because of COVID, I am in need of more materials and individual supplies like binders, learning centers, etc.

My Project

These materials will help my at-risk NYC Kindergarten students be able to have individual STEAM activities in my classroom. They will have bins with hands-on materials for exploration tubs. There are also materials for everyone to have individual literacy centers. The stools will allow for flexible, socially distanced seating in the classroom.

Because of COVID students cannot share materials or get up and move around the room.

We would really benefit from flexible seating and fun, hands-on centers. Please consider donating to help these truly incredible children!
