Many students lost significant ground in reading literacy during the COVID-19 pandemic, so we find ourselves with many students reading two or more grade levels below their actual grade.
Manga has an almost magical ability to engage students and ignite their love of reading and books.
The books on this list are popular series that I've been hearing about from my students for the two years I've been at our school. Our manga collection is growing - thanks to the generosity of donors like you! - but we still have a fraction of what students want. Adding these titles will allow more students to access books that are at a reading level that works for them, but that are interesting and age-appropriate.
