Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

After Hurricane Sandy, many of my students need to express themselves through art. It helps them communicate and be creative. They can inspire each other!

We are a Title 1 Public School located in Far Rockaway, New York.

The students are a culturally diverse group of creative 5th graders. They enjoy creating and presenting projects but lack basic art supplies. We are developing the students literacy and math skills and love for school through art which they enjoy. Our students are passionate and creative, however the school lacks the funds to provide the materials for an extremely exciting classroom experience.

My Project

Imagine a world full of vivid pictures created by the future of this wonderful country. My students will be able to create masterpieces with these supplies to help them get through tough times. Their neighborhood has been destroyed and is on the way back to being rebuilt. It woud be so powerful for these students to draw and create pieces of art to put smiles on their faces.

Your donation will have a huge impact on the students of this school who lack the basic art supplies to express themselves.
