Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach ESL students in a Title 1 Vanguard school in Houston, Texas. My students are lively and hardworking children. They come in class every morning ready and excited to learn new things. They want to succeed and it shows in their daily behavior and work ethic.

Many of my students do not have access to technology at home.

They are limited in their experiences outside of their neighborhood. Although many lost their homes or belongings during Hurricane Harvey, they are still excited about coming to school to learn.

My Project

This project is to incorporate technology in math and writing. I am asking for six iPads to create interactive stations for math and writing to promote student learning. Exploring math and writing with technology is very important. It will allow my students to learn essential skills for them to be able to compete in today's society.

Books are no longer enough; the mastery of technology is a must.

My student’s access to technology is limited and this will allow them to feel included in the world. It will only enhance their knowledge.

This equipment will impact their learning, their confidence, and self-esteem. Thank you for your donation! We are forever grateful!
