Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class consists of 1st - 3rd grade Life Skills students who enjoy read aloud using the app Novel Effect and who also enjoy spending time in our library area. I would love to provide a reading area where my students will be able to read with their favorite characters. The new books and book buddies will be displayed throughout the classroom and ready for the students who finish their work early.

Students will be able to read to their book buddies the books their character choices are featured in to make connections.

The new book choices and their book buddies will help my diverse students in not only practicing their reading skills but as a sensory modification as well. Students will be able to find comfort in their book buddies as they are holding them and reading to them or their classmates.
