Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide my students with healthy fuel aka snacks. Additionally, kids who eat healthy snacks are, generally, more prepared to listen and learn at school because their bellies are full. Unfortunately, this school year my students are not able to go to lunch until 1pm. It saddens me to see, and hear my students say that they are hungry or they have a headache. The snacks from this project will allow for my students to maintain their energy and concentration until they are able to go to the cafeteria. Additionally, providing snacks for my students will allow them to have more energy and be attentive in class. Hungry kids become irritable, tired, and less alert. A healthy snack can do a lot to help kids grow and develop properly. Healthy snacks are an essential part of a growing child’s diet. Childhood is a critical time for growth and development, and snacks provide important nutrients that your child needs between meals. Healthy snacking contributes to your child’s emotional and physical well-being.
