Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal of this project is to provide middle and high school students with nutritious snacks to help them stay focused, energized, and better equipped to succeed throughout the school day. Many students often go without adequate nutrition between meals, which can affect their ability to concentrate and perform well in class. By supplying healthy snacks, we aim to create an environment where students can thrive academically and emotionally.

Project Overview: Our school is launching the Healthy Snack Initiative, a project aimed at collecting and distributing healthy, non-perishable snacks to students in need.

These snacks will be made available in classrooms and common areas to ensure all students have access to something nutritious during the day, whether it be before a test, during a long class period, or to combat the afternoon slump.

Equity Focus

At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Learn how your donation to this school supports a more equitable education.
