This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
It is difficult for students to focus on their lessons when they are hungry. By funding this project, my students will be provided with snacks to keep while in school and after school. I have found that having food on hand means they can satisfy their hunger and move on to being successful students while learning from a distance.
Having food is essential to growth and focus in class.
In a world of uncertainty due to the coronavirus pandemic, my students' parents are unemployed and students are lacking meals at home.
