My Project

My students are bright, curious, and eager to learn, but for some, a rumbling stomach is a constant distraction. Many of my students face food insecurity, meaning they don't always have access to enough nutritious food at home. It's incredibly difficult for a child to focus on learning when they're hungry. A growling stomach can lead to decreased concentration, irritability, and even headaches, all of which hinder their ability to absorb information and participate fully in class. Providing regular snacks throughout the day can make a world of difference, helping to bridge the gap between meals and ensuring that my students have the energy and focus they need to succeed.

By supporting this project, you'll be directly addressing the very real issue of food insecurity in my classroom.

These snacks will not only provide much-needed nourishment but also create a more supportive and equitable learning environment. When students aren't preoccupied with hunger, they can better engage in lessons, participate in discussions, and reach their full academic potential. Your generosity will help to level the playing field, ensuring that all of my students have the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
