Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is striving to become more sustainable. To do that we are teaching our children about our planet and how to care for it. We are an inner-city school with very few areas to be able to plant and grown flowers and food with the students. We would love to get planter boxes and raised beds, along with seeds and soil to help the students gain the hands-on experience and joy of growing plants to help our community.

We want to start our gardens in the classroom with seed starting kits and then continue these projects outside and show the students that even though we live in a concrete city we can make it beautiful with plants and vegetation.

Please help us teach our youngest learners how to create life with their own hands.
