Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that I am requesting for our students is to help them re-energize after PE class and as treats for our classroom reward system.

Our PE class engages in moderate to vigorous physical activity five days a week.

In fact, inevitably some students are motivated by the social dynamics and gain a competitive spirit. This taxes their energy sources and can affect how they perform in their subsequent classes. This can pose problems in learning. For example, my 1 period waits 3 hours before lunch and 2 hours. This is a long time to be without eating. Students need to get a snack to replenish energy stores so they can meet the rigorous demands of excellence.

Without question, my students are special because every student is willing to support me in the many tasks that make up various systems that support a safe academic environment. Every one of my students can be a leader of change with the proper support and guidance.

I believe that snacks can be a "game changer" for our students.
