My Students

My students are very energetic and full of curiosity. They come from different backgrounds, but seem to all have a love for learning new things in common. They are creative, have ingenuity and enjoy working in cooperative group activities. Our school equally shares technology equipment with all of the classrooms. Sometimes it is hard to finish our projects which are based on the computer. As a teacher, I know the importance of technology and I believe all students need to learn to use today's tools. They need to learn how to use the tools correctly at an early age. Computers offer students opportunities to go beyond their classrooms. With technology, we can do more exciting group projects and activities while making our own Youtube video, Google slide show, and Google Doc.

My Project

In today's age, computer literacy is a crucial component of any student's learning plan. By providing students with access to the greatest learning tool invented-the Internet-students gain unprecedented access to resources and information. The Stanford Center for Opportunity Policy in Education found that, "Technology, when implemented properly, can also close the achievement gap between students classified as “high-performing” and “at-risk.” Up to 20% of low-income households in the United States do not have Internet access, and before the 1:1 initiative in schools, these same households would also not be able to afford a device for their student to learn on. Therefore, by selecting cost-effective IT infrastructure such as the Chromebook, students gain the ability to access resources in a manner suited to their learning style."

Our students will use the Chromebook to explore their learning objective while working on the group projects.

Your generous donation to our project will improve my classroom by building stronger computer literacy. This will help my students be ready for higher education.
