My Project

My special education students in South Ozone Park, Queens do not have the opportunity to plant and grow seeds or put their hands in soil. This project will allow them to raise, nurture and care for plants all year long in our classroom

When they transition on to high school, they will be able to reduce their stress by taking their plant home with them to provide comfort and to serve as reminders of the self love and self care that is necessary as they continue their academic journeys.

Leaving our middle school family with a part of they love they gave, will allow them to continue good habits and be mindful of how to grow strong and in a positive direction.
