This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Our students are creating garden spaces both in the ground and in containers as a way to promote growing our own fruits and vegetables to promote healthy eating choices.
We would like to create an opportunity to share our plants with our surrounding community members for their own personal backyard vegetable gardens.
With the help of a greenhouse, we can learn to grow a bigger variety of plants and share our learning with the community. We hope to create a sense of togetherness within our community members.
