How Do Chickens Stay Fit? They Eggs-ercise!

My Project

The PE equipment will be used to enhance student learning in the physical education environment. Middle schoolers can be challenging and adding silly equipment, like rubber chickens, help peak their interest! New, colorful equipment will keep middle schoolers more engaged in physical activity.

Have you ever played Flicker Chicken?

Ultimate Games are very popular amongst middle schoolers and traditionally use different types of sports balls. However, by adding rubber chickens this not only makes the games more fun, but also makes it easier for all students to throw and catch!

The equipment I have included in my project is meant to help foster the students' love of movement in hopes they will learn the skills needed to play games, sports, and activities outside of class and for a lifetime!

I want to add equipment to my middle school physical education program to keep these early teens engaged and motivated in fitness and movement!

My goal is for my students to learn to move and move to learn. The foam balls will be used to teach pickleball. Pickleball is a lifelong sport but can be difficult for students with lower skill levels. These foam balls slow the game down and make it easier to make contact with thus making the students more successful.
