This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
My students strive to succeed inside and outside of the classroom and deserve the learning tools to do so. Hands-on tools are essential for my students to apply what they are learning in the classroom to real world experiences. This items from this grant will provide students with the physical tools to learn anatomy and physiology.
My students have been learning virtually for about a year and are craving in-person and experiential learning.
Through in person dissections, students get to experience what it is like to feel like a surgeon and apply what they are learning in class to hands-on experiments.
Students can gain a better understanding of the functional units of the brain through dissecting sheep brains.
