My Students

Teaching little 6 year olds requires moving around a lot. The children have two different carpeted areas in which we utilize. The desk area takes up more than half the room because the desks are oversized. We need a smaller rectangular desk to lessen the area they take up.

I teach 22 wonderfully diverse students in an urban setting.

We celebrate the children's ethnic, economic and family diversity. We are also an inclusive school which means that every class has students with special needs. We practice acceptance and learn in a peaceful environment.

My Project

My students need Classic, easy-care tables that look great year after year¦and easily adjust to the exact height we need! 1 1/4"-thick tabletops have rounded vinyl edges to protect tables and walls and easy-mount leg brackets for simple assembly. The children will sit in groups of four at the table. Six tables are necessary for a class size that can go up to 24. The children spend about half of their learning time at their desks doing schoolwork across the curriculum.
