Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very inquisitive and independent learners full of curiosity. They come to school every day eager to learn. They often find solutions by thinking outside the box.

Many of my students are unable to complete assignments at home due to their lack of resources.

Our school is an A rated school, in the heart of Houston, despite also being Title I school with 99 percent of our population receiving free or reduced price lunch. At Herrera, we incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, learning options, and technology, to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

Each child in my classroom enjoys taking risks, asking questions, probing, learning. My students are truly an incredible group and I have been blessed in serving as their teacher.

My Project

These headsets will provide my students an opportunity to comfortably listen to individual lessons while working at the technology station at their own pace. They will offer them the privacy to closely listen to the lessons without worrying about others noting their mistakes.

Making sure students feel at ease while learning is an essential component in ensuring success.

My students will eagerly complete their Math lesson reaching for the outermost parts of the universe as they seek mastery of 4th Grade Math problems. Houston, We Have a Solution will be echoed each time my students master a new skill. Please help me make this a project a reality for them!
