Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our high school students have read reviews, participated in nominating titles, and voted for their favorites that they want to read together in class small groups and larger groups like our book club. Together, we are also planning literacy events at our school, open to families and community members of all ages. The books included in this project will be used to propel reading, followed by small and large group discussions and school visits with authors and illustrators.

Our students will not only read these books but share their reading experiences by using these materials to lead celebratory literacy events and compel others in their school and community to participate with them and enjoy reading!
