My Students

I am currently a Reading Interventionist that works with several small groups daily. My small group, of 4-5 students, need extra support in reading or math. I focused on specific skills to build confident students.

My school has over 300 students and we focus on student success as well as academic achievement.

We are a Title I school and many students are on free/reduced lunch. My students are hard working, creative, and excited to learn. They challenge me as a teacher to be the best I can be.

My Project

I work with small groups of students daily! We focus on Reading and Math skills and I reinforce the instruction happening in the classroom as well as reteaching previously taught skills. Hot Dots are one of the most engaging activities for my small groups. Students love to interact with each Hot Dot card and receive immediate feedback from the pen. By requesting math and reading cards, I will be able to reach all levels in both academic areas. Having the literature circle materials will support my third graders as they transition from picture books to chapter books and build their comprehension.
