Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a speech and language therapists, My co-SLP and I are always seeking new and innovative ways to engage our students and help them grow as communicators. One of the most exciting tools we’ve found is the Hot Dots system, which provides interactive, hands-on learning opportunities that truly capture our students’ attention and support their speech and language development.

The Hot Dots system uses fun, interactive technology to provide immediate, positive feedback as students complete exercises.

This system makes learning engaging and dynamic, helping my students develop essential language skills in a way that’s both enjoyable and effective. It allows students to work independently, yet feel supported, as they receive instant feedback that reinforces their understanding and motivates them to keep going.

Our students absolutely love the instant, fun feedback from the Hot Dots pen, and it has proven to be an incredibly effective tool for building skills such as vocabulary, listening comprehension, and articulation. Whether they are matching sounds to pictures, practicing sentence structures, or identifying key concepts, the interactive nature of Hot Dots gives them the encouragement they need to succeed.

By providing these Hot Dots sets, we can create a fun, engaging, and interactive learning environment where students feel empowered to practice and strengthen their speech and language skills. The tools will support various language development goals, from articulation to receptive and expressive language skills, and will help foster an excitement for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
