Staying hydrated during practice is important for athletes and anyone who exercises for recreation because it helps your body perform at its best. You need to drink fluid during exercise to replace the fluids you lose when you sweat. That way, you'll reduce the risk of heat stress, maintain normal body function, and maintain performance levels. The general rule is: that if you're sweating, you need to be drinking fluids.
Good hydration has benefits during physical exercise.
As well as lowering your body temperature, it also lowers your heart rate and improves muscle performance. Depending on the environment, you can lose up to 2.5 L of sweat during an intensive period of exercise. In addition, you do not usually feel thirsty until you have lost over 1.5 L of water, I DO NOT want this to happen!! For all these reasons, it is important to have good hydration habits. Therefore I want to provide fluids before, during, and after exercise/practice.
