My Project

An inside plant shelf for my horticulture class can serve a few important purposes:

Light Access: Many plants need consistent light to grow, and an indoor shelf allows you to position plants closer to natural or artificial light sources, ensuring they get the necessary amount of light for photosynthesis.

Space Optimization: It can help organize your plants in a way that maximizes space, especially in a classroom setting where horizontal space might be limited. It lets you keep different plants at different levels, making it easier to manage.

Temperature and Humidity Control: Indoor plant shelves can help you create an environment with better temperature and humidity control. This is important for certain plants that thrive under specific conditions, which you might need to monitor and adjust in a controlled indoor space.

Educational Display: In a horticulture class, you’ll likely be working with a variety of plant species. A shelf helps display different types of plants for observation and study, making it easier for you and your classmates to see them up close.

Maintenance: An organized setup on a shelf makes it easier to maintain each plant (watering, pruning, checking for pests, etc.) without disturbing others.
