My Project

I want to start small group counseling at the middle school level. These small groups will promote development of self as well as cognitive and social/emotional development. The Zen Garden and the Mini Fish Lava Lamp with Bluetooth Speaker will make the room an inviting, calm, safe, stress-free space.

The goal is that the activities will promote emotional regulation, enhance coping skills for anxiety and stress, and foster social skills and peer support.

Students will document their self-growth in journals. The sensory stickers and DBT resources will help promote the skills necessary to be resilient students who can effectively navigate the difficulties of early adolescence.
