My Students

Go Hornets! Our school has very talented athletes that are passionate about what they do. As coaches we are in charge of fundraising and raising money in order to fund new equipment and jerseys. This past season our team was lacking essential pieces of equipment needed to conduct sound practices.

Our boys volleyball athletes are in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade.

The school's athletics are competitive and students need to try out in order to make the volleyball team. This means each sport needs the essential equipment to build skill, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Each practice the boys are excited to learn something new or improve on something they need work on. However, it was difficult for our 7th and 8th grade boys volleyball teams this past season only having eight volleyballs borrowed from P.E. and a volleyball cart from the girls volleyball team. Our school district does not fund the sports teams. We as coaches are in charge of fundraising for new equipment, jerseys, and other necessities.

My Project

My athletes will use the volleyballs and volleyball carts every practice during the season. Practices would run smoother and more efficient. Partner passing with two can finally happen for both teams. The seventh grade coach and I would be able to plan our practices not worrying about who can do a drill with one volleyball while the other team does a drill that needs multiple volleyballs. The volleyball carts will be used to keep the volleyballs organized and in good condition. The athletes will also use the carts as target practice for passing to the setter. These necessary materials will help improve a lot of different volleyball skills that the athletes need.

Donations to this project will help improve our boys volleyball team and how they compete with other schools.

Their skills can improve and practices will run more efficient. Your donation will greatly improve our school's boys volleyball program. The boys will be so excited to know they could potentially have their own volleyballs and carts to use during practice.
