My Project

My students are truly amazing! I appreciate their patience, their concern for others, and their ability to welcome others. We are fortunate to be learning from one another for yet another school year.

The iPads that I am requesting will help me further differentiate instruction and meet the different learning needs and learning styles of my amazingly, diverse learners.

We will use the iPads for individualized phonics instruction, and one-to-one guided reading sessions. The students will also use the iPads to access books from myON, Epic!, and learn skills-based strategies from the iReady and Imagine Learning platforms. They will be able to listen and read along as books are read out loud to them. Having iPads will help my struggling readers improve their reading skills and boost their confidence this school year.

We will also use iPads for our writing unit. The students have already listed their ideas in their writer's notebook and they are excited to start writing their stories. However, they expressed interest in creating a digital version of their personal narratives. I would like to offer them the flexibility of choosing the format of their stories. In doing so, students can share their writing with their loved ones.

I am also requesting two iPad cases and two iPad screen protectors to preserve the iPads for future use.
