My Students

Hooray for Pre-K! We have so many things to do and explore, but need resources to help us learn and grow!

I teach a preschool class consisting of 3, 4, and 5 year old children.

Many of them are experiencing school for the first time and are excited to explore their environment. My students have developmental delays and require additional resources to access their environment and meet their many sensory needs. They attend a large public school in a typical classroom. This presents the challenge of creating a class that is developmentally appropriate in both size and materials. My preschool students are eager learners and deserve the best!

My Project

I am requesting big books and books on CD for my Pre-K students to develop early literacy skills and provide materials for our listening center. The big book rack will store the big books in front of the room and along with the magnetic shelves, will allow my students to reach them easily. The rolling easel will allow me to display felt stories, as well as magnetic letters and materials. During daily circle time, I will use the calendar to teach calendar and counting skills. The pitchers, paper trays, ink pads, and scissors will be used in centers by the students to develop fine motor and independence skills.

These resources and materials will help me expose my Pre-K students to many hands-on activities and early literacy concepts.

They will be able to develop fine motor and social skills while playing in daily centers. Thank you for your kind support of my class!
