Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reading is fundamental. Books are the instrument that support students as they become readers. I am requesting books which will help my students during English Language Arts, targeted student instruction, and when they use the classroom library. Especially for my library. My students see and use that space consistently. It’s the one area in the classroom that my students enjoy being in the most because they get to explore and get lost in a new adventure every time. My students are continuously growing as readers and improving their fluency. Differentiated reading resources are essential to making sure that students are receiving support and using materials based on their needs.

Not one student is the same and the way that each student learns is different.

They are on our way to becoming better readers and these books will allow students to practice based on their individual reading levels. As well as allowing them to read books that they are interested in. It’s the storytelling, the adventures, and the messages in the books that truly captivate students to want to continue reading and therefore, becoming the strong readers we know they can become. Making reading fun is such an awesome thing to do!
