My Students

Why do so many students say that recess is their favorite subject? Because it's fun, right? Turns out, recess may also contribute to academic achievement because, according to Newsweek, aerobic activity helps develop neural proteins for brain cell growth.

Hola, and welcome to my proposal to support the health and fitness of curious, earnest, and eager first graders who represent five different languages at home.

Because we are in a high poverty school in a district that cut all elementary PE, Music, and Computer teachers from the budget, in a state that is first in the nation in prison spending and #47 in spending for education, we could really use your help.

My Project

Children are always energized, happier, and readier to concentrate after an aerobic break; hula hoops and jump ropes are just the motivation they need to increase aerobic activity, develop coordination and strength, and practice sportsmanship, cooperation, self discipline, and team building while promoting brain cell growth.

I hope you will help our bodies stay trim while our brains grow large with a gift of hula hoops and jump ropes.
