A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My special education students learn best by using their hands and whole body. Fine motor math centers with manipulatives and usable number lines will help them get hooked on math.
Learning and exploring with fine motor math manipulatives gets them hooked, intrigued, and wanting to learn more.
Visualizing, drawing, and connecting math helps the whole child learn. Usable number lines require movement. The movement and touch of tangible items leave a much better imprint and lasting impression that some worksheets can’t do. Students need to explore, be engaged, create, experiment, and use their whole bodies to learn.
