This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My seniors have worked incredibly hard to reach this milestone, and I want to celebrate them to show how much they are valued. The graduation gifts I’m requesting—personalized keepsakes, books that inspire their next chapter, and small tokens of appreciation—are more than just gifts. They are a reminder that their efforts, resilience, and dreams matter. These items will not only celebrate their achievements but also motivate them for the future, reinforcing that their education and hard work are recognized and cherished.

My goal is simple but meaningful: I want to send my seniors off with joy, pride, and the knowledge that they are seen and supported.

Many of my students have overcome obstacles, worked tirelessly, and pushed through challenges to get to this moment. I want them to feel the excitement of graduation, not just as an end but as the beginning of something great. This project will allow me to give them a warm, heartfelt send-off that lets them walk away feeling celebrated, inspired, and ready for their next step.

My students are extraordinary. They are dreamers, leaders, and future changemakers. Some will be the first in their families to graduate, while others have balanced school with jobs and responsibilities far beyond their years. They have shown resilience, kindness, and an unbreakable spirit. They deserve to be celebrated for their academic achievements and the incredible people they are becoming.
