Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My group of fifth graders are very motivated and hardworking students. They sometimes need an extra push but when they receive the attention and support, they show their true creativity and excellent drive to complete their work to their fullest potential. It is evident that they do their best each day and they truly aim to please. Many of my students have different needs when it comes to learning; therefore I try to use a variety of manipulatives that will help motivate them even further and make their learning process easier.

It is evident that my students enjoy coming to school and enjoy completing assignments and projects with their peers.

By providing them with extra materials and supplies my students will truly soar to success. It is important to me to give each of my students the attention they all deserve and provide them with materials that will hopefully encourage them to always try their hardest.

My Project

In this project, I am asking for a class set of Dated Elementary Student Planners for the 2019-2020 school year. I am asking for this so that my students will be able to write down their homework and keep it in an organized place. I asked for this last year and the turnout of completed homework from students was incomparable to any other year!

I am hopeful that if the students have a secure place where they can write their homework each night, it will be less likely that they will have incomplete homework assignments.

I am hoping to teach my students how to be responsible and maintain organization and on-going routines because they will be able to refer back to their planner each night when they arrive home from school.
