This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students walk into class every day very eager to know what the day has in store for them. They ask a lot of questions and are interested in learning about the world around them. However, their eagerness to learn is often stifled by problems they face in their everyday lives. My students are from a low/socio-economic area, and more often than not, learning takes a backseat to their daily struggles. My goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for my students so that they can strive to learn and be a “normal” student. They can forget their troubles, even if it’s just for a little while, and be a student full of wonder and enthusiasm.

My Project

Until my students are able to attend school physically, I would like to make sure that school can go to them. Unfortunately, not everyone has the necessary space needed in order to store their materials for online classes.

These "desks" (lap top trays) will provide a way for students to go to school no matter where they are in their homes.

They will be able to finds their own suitable spaces in order to attend classes. The storage in these desks will also provide a space for the students to store their necessary school materials.
