My Project

The goal of this project is to create a mini studio apartment within the classroom, designed to teach essential skills like cooking, hygiene, cleanliness, and organization in a supportive, engaging space. With your help, my students will have access to a variety of tools that will empower them to gain confidence in their ability to care for themselves and manage their daily routines independently.

The items I’ve chosen—such as a treadmill for sensory and movement breaks, sensory toys, hygiene supplies, and a bed set for teaching bed-making—are all key components of the curriculum I’ve designed to address the unique needs of each child.

The griddle, waffle maker, and toaster oven will help teach cooking skills, while a mini store stocked with snacks will provide an opportunity to practice budgeting and making choices. A vacuum and cleaning supplies will teach my students how to maintain their environment, helping them build responsibility and pride in their space.

These tools and experiences are not just about learning in the classroom—they’re about preparing my students for a life outside of school. They deserve the opportunity to live as independently as possible, and your donation will play a critical role in making that happen.
