My Students

All of my amazing students are on the autism spectrum with multiple disabilities. I have one student who is non-verbal and uses a ACC device to communicate. One just transferred to the United States from Europe and is an ENL student. My other students are verbal when prompted. We have been working on vocational skills like hygiene and meal prep. We would like to continue our gardening skills at home.

My students thrive when projects and activities are hands on.

By supporting our project our students with have materials that are not widely available at home.

My Project

My students work in our school garden gaining experience and knowledge of how to maintain a garden. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 virus we have been unable to participate in gardening at school. The items we are requesting will help continue the sense of responsibility posed by gardening, continue math and science education as well as provide healthy eating options for families.

The materials will allow my student's the opportunity to grow and nurture home gardens.

All the while growing food that they can share in their homes and with family.
