My Project

As part of our garden program, students regularly receive 2 periods of cooking instruction every month. When students were in-person, they had access to our instructional cooking tools, including kid-safe equipment like knives. This year, the majority of the students are learning from home 100% of the time, and even those that are in-person don't have the ability to attend classes in our kitchen in-person.

Unfortunately, many of our students don't have their own kid-safe cooking equipment at home, and so we would like to send every remote student a kid-safe knife in the next home cooking kit, so students can safely follow along with our lessons without needing an adult present in order to chop.

These are the same knives we use in our classroom, so students are already familiar with the techniques to use them safely.
