My Project
This year my students have been struggling to communicate their wants and needs at home and at school. They are getting very frustrated and need a tool to help them. I have been working closely with my Speech Language Pathologist. We have been creating communication boards for our non-verbal students and it's really helping them. My students can now let us know which toys they would like, which food items they would like to eat and more.
I want to expand this learning and communication to my students' homes.
I want to create identical communication boards to give to my students parents to use at home to help their children to be able to communicate in all settings of their lives. These materials will allow me to print the visuals and create the boards.
