Our students are amazing; we are one big community of learners. Our students take a genuine interest in each other, work hard to achieve their goals, and constantly seek out new ways to learn. We love to wiggle, giggle, and grow!
Our school is a three-time National School of Character, and my seven and eight year olds shine every day.
Our students are both strong leaders and team players. They are hands-on learners who learn best through interaction and experience. Every day is a great day with the students - it's truly an honor to teach these children.
My Project
During the school year, my students spend more time at school than they do at their own homes!
I am continuing to work on making my classroom a comfortable, inviting place where my students feel they have a home away from home!
I have spent the last few years transforming my classroom to a place where students have voice and choice in where they want to sit- whether that is wobble stools, scoop rockers, a coach or a comfortable oriental rug! We also have a class pet to add to the comforts of our classroom.
With the addition, of another table and coach, more students will have the opportunity to feel comfortably "home away from home"!
