This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at Sumner Avenue Elementary School love to read and visit our library! The Dog Man Series is one of the most popular series in our school and now a new movie is being released which will surely make them more popular than ever.
Our Spanish-speaking students have requested that we have this series available for them too!
Research has shown that reading books, in any language, increases reading skills in all the languages that students know. Thus, providing these popular titles will not only excite students and encourage them to read it will also help them grow as readers of English as well!
I look forward to offering these books to our students and they will be so grateful to have access to them through our school library!
