My Project

I am requesting the acquisition of a cricut, hygiene products, and snacks for my office to enhance student support.

This versatile cutting machine allows the clinician to create personalized materials, such as motivational posters, visual aids, or customized rewards for students.

Engaging visuals can enhance communication and foster a positive environment, making it easier for students to express themselves and stay motivated.Access to hygiene products is essential for promoting students' health and well-being. Many students may not have these items readily available at home, and providing them ensures that all students feel comfortable and confident at school. This contributes to a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.Offering snacks addresses basic nutritional needs, particularly for students who may experience hunger or food insecurity. Healthy snacks can improve concentration and mood, enabling students to participate more effectively in their learning and therapeutic activities.

As a Student Support Specialist, incorporating these materials, can help create a nurturing environment that meets the emotional, physical, and social needs of students, ultimately enhancing their overall school experience. Working at a Title I school, I recognize that many of our students face challenges that impact their basic needs, such as safety and physiological well-being. When considering theories like Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, one understand that students have a difficult time reaching self actualization or success when their basic needs are not being met. Providing a supportive environment is essential for fostering resilience and empowering students to thrive academically and personally. Thank you for considering this request and for your potential support in providing these essential resources to enhance our students' well-being and success.
