My Students

My students are joyful, high energy, and full of life. They all have big dreams - to be lawyers, basketball players, college graduates, astronomers, and more.

I teach a self-contained, special education class in Maryland at a Title I school where one hundred percent of students receive free lunch.

They are all unique in their personalities and learning styles and demonstrate their knowledge in different ways. In my classroom, they learn critical academic, behavioral, and life skills. I want to give them all the tools they need to be successful and accomplish their goals.

My Project

My students have been learning from home since March 2020. We have all adjusted to the new normal of our classroom being on Zoom and all of our work being done on the computer.

I want to give my students a holiday gift pack with some useful items that will improve their distance learning experience.

This includes computer mice, headphones, and new notebooks and dry erase boards since many of them have gone through the initial supply of these items they received at the beginning of the year.

This will be a nice way to motivate students to keep working hard as we continue distance learning into the new year, and help me celebrate the holidays with them!
